And a family is also speaking out on behalf of another voiceless victim. 49-year-old Leticia Carrillo Frankel and her husband, Mark Frankel, who have been missing since Tuesday.
Their family is concerned about their safety since the couple's car was found not far from their home with evidence that someone had tried to burn it.
Now the family is organizing search parties to look for them in the 8-mile community where they lived. They are asking the public for their assistance in finding the couple. Today, we spoke via phone with Leticia's niece, Diana Carillo.
Diana Carillo - Niece "The last time she was seen was Tuesday, she was purchasing watermelon at the roundabout here on the Northern highway but the reason we found how she went missing was because basically she communicates with one of my other aunts on a daily basis and yesterday and today they didn't communicate, so my aunt found that very strange and they went to the house to look for her and she wasn't there. When they got to the house, inside the house was basically ransacked and that's when they got in contact with the police to come and try and see what is going on and they actually found their car on the highway not too far from the house abandoned and it looks like they were ready to set it on fire, so that's also another red flag that's why we think she and her husband are missing. As of right now, that's basically the information we have about her and we are just asking the public that if they know anything, if they could reach out to us and if anybody has any information to share that would be great. Also tomorrow the police will also be doing a search and that will be happening, we'll be meeting at the Hattieville police station 7:30 AM and then the search is supposed to be starting at 8 AM, so the police the family and anyone in the public who would like to assist we would appreciate that assistance."
Reporter "You aunt or her husband never made any indication that something was wrong?"
Diana Carillo "No, we've spoken to his family, her husband name is Mark Frankel and we've spoken to his family and they are not aware of anything or of them being in any type of trouble or we really have no information. Tuesday in our family group chat she had just messaged us and we are talking there, so no one really knows what's going on or the cause."
