And while those families are hoping their loved ones' killers will soon see the inside of a courtroom, two teachers had their day in court this morning. Francis Salam and Roberto Valencia appeared in Benque Viejo's magistrate court this morning. This follows the countrywide protest on Monday, during which some BNTU members were arrested after they were allegedly caught attempting to light a tyre fire at the entrance of Succotz Village.
Today, the BNTU protested outside the court as the two teachers were charged with attempting to set a bonfire without the permission of police. Their case has been adjourned to July 13th.
