We continue with the two fuel bowsers that were intercepted the week in Calla Creek with three thousand gallons of alleged contraband fuel…the Customs Department has decided to charge the two drivers for smuggling.

Delroy Reyes of Maskall and Erik Moro of San Ignacio have been charged for transporting good liable to duties which have not been paid.

As we told you, they were intercepted on the Bullet Tree Falls Road in the Cayo District, and the authorities say that they tried to smuggle 3000 gallons of regular fuel into the country. All those gallons have an estimated market value of a little more than 31 thousand dollars.

We made persistent checks at the Magistrate's Court today, but the best information suggests that the authorities still have a bit more paperwork to do before they are arraigned.
