Earlier on in the news we had part of our interview with Emil Bradley, the guardian of 14-year-old shooting victim Laddie Gillett.

He was on the Placencia peninsula last night when he got the news that no parent can endure - his young son had been inexplicably killed.

And now his son's death has become a battle cry against chronic use of excessive force by police. There is a vigil tonight and there's a major social media buzz about mobilising protests to get justice for Laddie. Bradley is not encouraging that right now - but he says when the time comes - he will be at the front of that protest:

Emil Bradley- Father of the Deceased
"I understand people from their past experience for them to be feeling how everything is happening right now but what will we get from it? I would never encourage a protest if they deal with this situation fairly and give us justice but I would be one leading if they continue on with the lies, I would be the one leading the protests because we have to learn to accept our mistakes and if we don't accept our mistakes, he could do it to somebody else and from what I gathered it's habit to do these thing and to abuse his authority. Today I was sitting on the balcony looking at the area where it happened and where they were staying, my legs just start trembling and my knees just wobbly, I cried, I'm crying within, it's hard, I'm not the type of person that shed tears that way but I do cry inside and I feel like.... Like I told you from Laddie, my grandmother has been Laddie from he was 1 year 3 months and we were the ones, my family assisting Laddie financially, sending him to school and all that. So we were a part of Laddie's life from the beginning."
