A man is recovering in the hospital after he was involved in a non-fatal traffic incident at mile 44 on the George Price Highway. While 55-year-old Baltazar Saltero was not severely injured, his wife told us it was another vehicle that caused him to flip. She wasn't in the vehicle at the time, but when she learnt of the incident, she rushed to the scene and learnt that the other driver hadn't stopped to render aid.

"The driver is claiming that he felt that somebody collided with him, and he lost control of the vehicle and he flip like 3 times and then when he recovered back he was already involved in the accident. Apparently, the driver has some bruises on the hand, part of his ear got cut and she is not aware if there is any internal injuries, if he was suffering but he was complaining head and body injuries. He was coming from Belmopan heading home, so he is going back from his work heading towards his house. He was traveling by himself, she understands a gentleman stopped and rendered some assistance, she doesn't know if that person took her husband to the hospital or not. She has no knowledge about it but apparently it looks like the person had collided, got away and police is trying to figure out who was the cause of the accident."
Saltero was travelling from Belmopan to his home in Harmonyville.
