Turning now to crime news - last night we told you about the robbery at the Northern Fishermen Co-op - where a staffer - returning form the bank was jacked of his backpack by two masked men.

Well, it seems they knew whose knapsack to snatch - because his one contained 25 thousand dollars - that he was taking to the Co-op for payments to be made.

Police told us more today:

ASP Fitzroy Yearwood
"Linsburg Diaz, the security guard at the Northern Fishermen Cooperative, reported that he was on North Front Street, he had just left his work compound and walking towards the Swing Bridge when he was approach by 2 men who relieve him of a knapsack that had $25,000 in various denominations and these men made good their escape through that Petticoat Alley area. I know that investigators arrived on the scene and they made an extensive search but to this time, we have not recovered any of the cash or not even detained any of the two suspects that he said were wearing masks."

"I Stand corrected, he was coming towards his main office in the opposite direction to do pay-in."

Reporter
"Was it an inside job so to speak?"

ASP Fitzroy Yearwood
"Probably it is a process that worked for them for many years, but street criminals usually study patterns and in that area, it wouldn't take long for wind to get around as to what you would be carrying in a backpack on a Thursday afternoon. I know that if I was a manager of a company I wouldn't be moving around in a backpack on foot to my office. I would have had security measures in place that you wouldn't even know that my pay-in is coming to my office, so we really have to examine the system that they use."
