Earlier in the news we showed you the back and forth between the host of Uncut, Jules Vasquez, and the Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams. But their bickering continued when Jules read a high-level letter addressed to the ComPol complaining about the COST unit's stealthy movements.
But Williams insisted that he hadn't seen it before and suggested that someone concocted the letter and backdated it in light of recent events.
Jules wasn't buying it though and, well, here's what happened.

"The anti narcotics unit itself complained about this same special strike team in a letter, they warned that duplication of efforts is evident with the creation of a special team to conduct counter drug operation. They complained, this was earlier this year."
Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police
"Who did that letter go to?"
Jules Vasquez
"It went to you."
Chester Williams
"I have not seen that letter."
Jules Vasquez
"I'm seeing your mail, it says right there."
Chester Williams
"So are you intercepting police mail?"
Jules Vasquez
"No sir."
Chester Williams
"I have not seen it."
Jules Vasquez
"You are misrepresenting sir."
Chester Williams
"I have not seen it."
Jules Vasquez
"But how could you not see a letter like this where it warns there is a high potential for blue (friendly fire) accidents with special teams being deployed in crucial areas of concern unknown to DEA or ANU for interdiction of illicit aircraft, these are specific complaints about that team operating without the knowledge of others and we now know why they did that."
Chester Williams
"Mr. Vasquez, I will say to you emphatically, whatever letter you have there I have not seen and that is the truth. What many people don't understand is that it is not me as the commissioner who directs these operations, these operations are directed through the joint intelligence operation center and once that happens, police, BDF and coast guard relinquishes command of the teams to JIOC, so they controls where they go and how they move. They control where the teams go, the cost team would normally be incorporated other teams. Whoever sent you that, I don't know when it was written, perhaps yesterday and they backdated it to make it seems, I don't know because I have not seen it and if it were that there was some legitimate concern then they should have come to me."

"But it was addressed to you."
Chester Williams
"Nothing came to me and obviously they wanted to appear that it was sent to me, they put commissioner of police to make it seems like it came to me."
Jules Vasquez
"Sir this is a high level letter."
Chester Williams
"If it is a high level letter then you should have not have it."
Jules Vasquez
"I should have it because you don't sir or you're pretending not to. I'm saying this is why leaks have to happen because unno the suppress and hide certain information to protect vested interests."
Chester Williams
"No that is not true."
For the record, 7News first learned of that letter in September of 2021. It is dated March, 2021.
