And though 20-year-old Earl Baptist was not one of the prisoners in that van, he was still in court today to answer to murder charges. He is accused of fatally shooting 36-year-old Leslie "DIMES" Gillett back on January 21st inside Gillett's store, Matilda's Mini Mart in Burrell Boom.
And this morning, he was arraigned and remanded to prison. Police believe he is one of Gillett's killers since he was identified using surveillance footage. Today we asked ASP Yearwood if they know the motive:
Courtney Menzies:
"Was a motive ascertained, is it a robbery as what we've been hearing?"
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"We cannot say that for certain buti know that he has been positively ID'd as the assailant in that murder."
Courtney Menzies:
"He was the only one or he had an accomplice?"

ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"Well he is the only person we have charged so far."
Reporter:
"Are you seeking anybody else? The initial reports was at there were about 4 of them that went to the shop when Mr Gillett was shot."
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"Well if we are seeking anyone else it would be wises of me no to mention so it's neither here or there we have an arrest made and I'm certain the case is not a closed case because you know in Belize we don't close murder cases and as anything comes or makes itself available them I iwll make it available to you."
Baptist will be back in court in May.
