And in other news, this morning, a police prison van caught on fire during its usual run from Hattieville to Belize City. All the passengers managed to escape injury, though, and were safely carted to the city in another van. According to Communications Officer, ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, the police are now investigating.

"This morning sometime around 8:20am, in the Tropical Park area of Hattieville, the police van that makes its daily runs to the prison was travelling with 5 prisoners police personnel when the driver observed fire coming from the hood on the van. He made an immediate stop, everybody exited the van, including the prisoners. They managed to extinguish the fire, the prisoners were put in another vehicle, another van that the police had on the highway at the same time and they made their way down to court. We know that we have investigators out there on the scene as we speak trying to determine what may have caused the fire."
