And another man who may find himself having to prove his claims this week is Brian "Yellowman" Audinette. He's in the spotlight again not because of the UDP convention, but because of the Friday night socializing that preceded it.
That's when Yellow ended up being manhandled by the cops after an altercation. ASP Fitzroy didn't have much information on the incident this morning as Audinette has yet to make a report but he defended his officers all the same.
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"Because I'm a trained officer we are trained to reprimand people, to bring you to normalcy and from what I observed in that video there was some kind of resistance put up for what I do not know but usually the cameras begin to roll when the police are reacting so in all fairness to the officers I will wait for a report on that one before I make any major comment on it. But I can say that we were trained to use justifiable force and harm when we believe that you are behaving in a manner that would be life-threatening to us or threatening to us or even resisting or trying to allude to the police or trying not to be detained for an offence committed and then we would have to use what we believe is justified under the law."
We sought comment from Brian Audinette but he says he'll get back to us tomorrow.
