Last week Monday, we told you about an alleged kidnapping that the police were investigating. Well, tonight, we can tell you that one person has been arrested for this crime.
According to the victim, 33-year-old Jose Medina, he was kidnapped in a yellow Ford Escape on Sparrow Street in Orange Walk on March 27th. He told police that he managed to escape from them and dashed to the police station to make the report. The police were skeptical about the allegations at first due to the unusual report of a kidnapping and the striking color of the vehicle. But the victim had identified his assailants and today, 27-year-old Rigoberto Garcia was arrested and charged for the crime of kidnapping. Medina was reportedly kidnapped while working at another town resident's home.
