Another Accident In Northern Belize

The borders are open - and the contraband flow is increasing - according to law enforcement. Last night it led to an accident on the Yo Creek Road when customs was chasing down a contraband vehicle.

The collision happened at the entrance to Yo Creek Village when a customs vehicle was chasing a Nissan Pathfinder loaded with contraband beers.

The customs officer apparently crashed into a freight liner towhead and that had a domino effect, leading to the Pathfinder collision.

Police and customs recovered a number of Barrelito, Tecate and Corona beers.
