The horrific beating that led to death of Esteban Baeza was one seen all around Belize. And tonight, two Orange Walk representatives are reacting to it.
Jose Mai and Kevin Bernard showed their outrage when CTV-3 asked them about it today:

Hon. Kevin Bernard - Minister of Health
"That video really broke me down seeing how can you take somebody life so callously without even thinking and when I got to find out that this person is a member of the armed forces in Belize make me even more upset. Somebody like that should be taken to the court forthwith, dealt with by a judge without no juror, that gentleman that did that to that young man for over a cigarette lighter that belonged to the young man is just plain wrong. This is where I asked where justice be served and justice be served swiftly on that individual who does not deserve to wear the uniform of a BDF officer."

Hon. Jose Mai - Minister of Agriculture
"To be honest, I am ashamed that this type of crime in Orange Walk, my hometown. What is even more shaming and disgusting is seeing a person being murder in front of people and nobody lifts a finger to help, that is disgraceful. Someone is being murder in front of you and instead of helping, people take out their phones and start videoing, that is disgraceful and I'm ashamed what occurred in Orange Walk but that person who did that, needs to pay for what he did."
