Turning now to crime news - there was urban terror in a residential neighborhood on the southside.
Two barrages of bullets were fired on both sides of Allan Pitts Crescent last night when a gunman who arrived in a car and aimed his gun at the fourth house on the block.
Who his target was, no one can say. It was likely one of the young men who hang out in that yard.
But the bullets didn't hit any of them, instead, Tanya Vasquez, a young woman who resides in the yard was shot multiple times sustaining wounds to her thigh, her buttocks, and her arm.
And this evening one neighbourhood resident told 7 News that after he'd shot Vasquez the gunman stood over her menacingly while still holding the gun.
From there he dashed back into the getaway car which sped down to the street and around the corner to get to the back of the yard where yet another round of bullets was fired off into the night.
It's an event that shook not just the victim's household - which is a home where multiple children live - but frightened the whole neighbourhood leaving them in fear of the violence that was visited upon them in what seemed like a flash.
Notable is that Tyriq Ciego who was killed at the MCC grounds over the labour day weekend also lived on Allan Pitts Crescent.
