Tonight, police from Belize City are investigating a stabbing death on Curassow Street. The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Louis Adolphus, a truck driver by profession.
It happened sometime after midnight last night, and the main suspect, Adolphus' common-law wife, told police that she and the deceased had a dispute which ended when she inflicted a single stab wound on his body. The officers found him bleeding from that injury and rushed him to the KHMH. But, he passed away in the emergency room.
The common-law wife is currently detained by police.
Residents in the area tell us that the couple recently moved into the apartment where the deadly dispute occurred. We are told that he and his family are originally from Biscayne Village.
