Last week we told you about 35-year-old Kenya Villamil a resident of Orange Walk who ended up in critical condition on September 21st when she was brutally attacked by her ex-common-law.
Kenya's sister believes that the ex, Myron Palencia had stalked her and planned the attack but tonight there is a new narrative emerging from the police department. One that says Kenya went to confront Myron after he burglarized an item from her home. Here's the update from ASP Fitzroy Yearwood.
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer

"On Independence also that miss Vilamill when she was not t home her house was visited by a man claiming to be her ex-boyfriend, Myron Palencia where he removed a bike from the home belonging to Miss Villamil. Our officers were informed that Miss Vilamil went looking for him and a few hours later a call came into police via 911 stating that a female was stabbed and left seen behind the San Narciso clinic. When police arrived on the scene they immediately rushed her to the Corozal Community Hospital where she was treated and is still admitted in a stable condition. I know that information gathered was from someone that was at Miss Vilamill's home at the time. They could have relayed that information to the police because at first she was not in a condition to make her report herself. We are treating this incident with priority because we know that it may have stemmed because of Miss Vilamill ending the relationship with that young man Myron. So, as soon as charges have been made I will let you know."
