Last week, we brought you the shocking story of 2022's first triple murder.
A brutal assassination in Sandhill of three men, two of whom were in their early 20s.
It's left that village terrorized by the thought and the reality that such a brutal killing could have happened in their peaceful, secluded corner of rural Belize.
And tonight the news is that while the cops believe they have both their main suspect and the getaway car, they are hard-pressed to prove any of it.
Chester Williams, Commissioner Of Police
"At this time our investigation team is still in place. They continue to follow several leads I know we have the main suspect in custody but again getting the evidence to tie him to crime is extremely difficult due to the fact that there is no eyewitness, um, we have also found the. Vehicle that we believe was involved in that particular incident but again, nobody saw what happened so we are trying to see what we can come up with that will be able to tie him and his associates to the particular crime."
The cops still believe that the motive behind this shocking triple murder was drug-related.
