A 62 year old woman was shot in Ladyville on Saturday night - and tonight, a 23 year old has been remanded for it. Shackeem Ferguson was taken to court today where he was charged with the attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm upon Diamantina Hernandez.
Because it is a firearm offense, he was remanded until February 7, 2023.
The shooting happened on Perez Road and Hernandez, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. She told police she was standing at the bathroom door whilst speaking to her Husband Alexander Bainton - when they heard four shots. Police saw 2 gun shot holes in the home's wooden louvers.
Eyewitnesses told police they saw Ferguson firing shots at the home. Police retrieved surveillance video which they say show him in the area.
