3 weeks ago we told you about Aldrick Scott, an American fugitive caught on Belizean soil when his Belizean employer handed him over to police.
Scott is now back in a Nebraska prison, and tonight he may be closer to a conviction after authorities in Topeka Kansas investigating the disappearance of his alleged victim, Carri Allen, discovered a body.
They have yet to identify who it is but the Douglas county sheriff's office expects an identification to be made by Friday.
What's interesting about the discovery being made in Kansas is that its location lines up with claims made by Shalton Fuentes, the man who turned Scott kidnapper over to authorities.
Two weeks ago Fuentes told Cherisse Halsall that Scott had admitted to burying Carri, quote: "In his back yard." And while the location where the body was found is not known to be Scott's property, the town was Aldrick Scott's home before he fled to Belize.
Here's what authorities in Nebraska are saying about the ongoing investigation.
Allen went missing after leaving a bar in her home town on November 19th.
