Last week we brought you an interview with COMPOL Chester Williams where he promised to do a first where he would shot the media the Fareed Ahmad case file to reveal what evidence there was - and if there was sufficient to point to Corporal Elmer Nah, who the accused, Constable Michelle Brown named in her statement from the dock.
That file was presented to the press by Attorney Dickie Bradley who spent the weekend going through its contents with what he calls a fine tooth comb.
And disturbingly Elmer Nah's name does appear in those files, not as a suspect in the murder but as a man who in the immediate aftermath of Fareed Ahmad's killing may have made threats against the Ahmads.
Dickie Bradley, Attorney-at-Law

"In the various statements a family member of the Ahmad on the 5th day of January, 2018 which the death occurred on the 28th December - a family member felt it necessary to make contact with the police to report that the family is receiving threats on their texts and it emerge that there were 2 numbers from which those texts were coming from and when inspector Ferrufino got that message as he has in his report, that caused him to fee there is a need to investigate the people in the SAT and that is how there is a statement in the file from Mr. Elmer Nah."
"An investigation was launched, BTL was brought into the picture and so on and it was confirm that the 2 cell numbers from where the threats were emanating were numbers connected to Elmer Nah."
"The investigation revealed that yes the 2 numbers are Mr. Nah's numbers and he gave a statement which confirmed that he had change one number and had switch to a 610 number which is the other number threats were coming from and that he had given a elder family member his first number. It could not be confirmed that he was sending the threats."
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"We investigated everything including the numbers that the text messages were allegedly coming from and during that process we had applied to BTL to get the phone records of those phones and from BTL the phone records showed that there was absolutely no communication between that number and the number that allegedly receive those texts. So it was our conclusion that the messages were fake messages create by someone to create mischief."
No sanctions were known to be taken against Nah in that case.
