There are at least 3 missing men from Belize City whose whereabouts have been unknown for weeks. And today police found a gathering of human remains that could give their families some hope of finding closure.
It all started at around 2:00 in the afternoon when police received information that skeletal remains had been found in a shallow grave behind the Port of Belize. That led the cop's to a feeder road behind the port and just 100 yards away they saw skeletal human remains in a shallow grave. Also buried there were a green camouflage shirt and a pair of black jeans pants. Police say the remains appear to be those of a male person.
The remains were taken to the National Forensic Science Laboratory morgue to await a postmortem. No doubt the families of those three missing men Akeem Augustine, Kyle Latchman and Chris Sosa will be hoping to match the clothing unearthed to their loved one if only to have the opportunity at closure and a chance to lay them to rest.
