Early this morning police were called to the Hollywood area of Lord's Bank when a Police Inspector's House had been shot up.

Police believe that the perpetrators stood across the street and fired at the house. Today the scenes of crime unit was called to process the scene of what police feel could be a brazen act of retaliation.

Police have a wanted man and his family told our newsroom via phone that the cops wrongly believe it is an act of retaliation for a stop and search that might have involved an altercation.

They say their son had a misunderstanding with a police officer about a traffic situation where the young man was threatened with a gun and punched in the face.

But, the family says their son did not retaliate by shooting up the officer's house. Still, tonight police are looking for the young man in question and have also detained his girlfriend for questioning. It's a story that's still developing and we'll have more for you as the facts about the situation become clearer.
