There was a double collision on Mahogany Street in Lake Independence right beside the Complex building. Two motorcycle riders experienced a violent, head-on collision on a stretch that many would identify as a blind spot where the building's staircase obstructs the view as drivers take the corner.
Our news team was on the scene shortly after the accident and we spoke to an eyewitness and construction workers who told us how the accident struck him:
Cherisse Halsall:
"Sir, you were out here working today when this accident happened, tell me what did you see or hear?"
Mr. Charles, Eyewitness
"Uh, after I heard the bang and I lived up my head I saw the two guys flying in either direction. Speed."
"You heard the cycle before you heard the bang, you head the two cycles before you heard the bang but this is a blind corner so this is an accident waiting to happen, every second, so that's it."
The collision was violent and both drivers sustained injuries, thankfully not fatal.
