Last night, the big story was about Dr Desmond Arzu, charged for sexual assault after a 23 year old woman says he violently sexually assaulted her on the examination table.

There's a lot about this to unpack tonight - including the details of a prior complaint and reprimand against him.

But we start with the Special Envoy For Women And Children, Rossana Briceno. We spoke to her today at another function where she said why did authorities wait after a first report had been made:

Rossana Briceno, Special Envoy

"You go to a hospital for healthcare so for something like this to allegedly have happened it's very, to me it's inappropriate not only inappropriate, it's an extreme act and if this person had already been given a warning then why wait for it to happen again. And I am very proud of that young lady that reported it and I think more of this needs to be put in place, more women need to stand up and report these things."

"But if it is something that is reoccurring then I think women need to stand up and not be afraid and start reporting, definitely."

Cherisse Halsall:
"Should we expect your office to send out any kind of press release to some of the officials at the Ministry of Health who sent this caution letter to this doctor but then did nothing?"

Rossana Briceno, Special Envoy
"Well, because it is in the courts as I understand and it's an alleged case I think when the time is right we will say something definitely."
