A public bus terminal running out of toilet paper is not an event that regularly makes the evening news - but this at the Belmopan Bus Terminal took off today likely because of the malaise in the public transport sector. Users must pay $1.00 to use the facility, but when they get inside, there's no toilet paper.
It seems there's a scarcity of petty cash - and the higher up's in the departments have told the supervisors that they must find toilet paper. We are told that senior personnel locked the supplies room so they have no sanitizer, no TP, no disinfectant, and not much else.
We'll try to get a comment from the Ministry of Transport tomorrow.
