2 weeks ago we brought you the story of 19-year-old Imari Galvez's murder. The 19-year-old left her home after 1:00 AM on and never returned. Her body would be found 48 hours later by her family's own search party on an off-road of the Hummingbird highway.
Tonight questions still abound about why Imari would have left home and who might have enticed her to do it.
And this morning when pressed about why there haven't been any arrests, the Commissioner of Police pointed his finger at the murder victim's family saying that they aren't sharing everything with police. Here's that report:
It's been almost two weeks since Imari Galvez's body was found in a clearing off the Hummingbird highway - but still no one has been charged and no one is presently detained. Tonight police are saying her family can provide more information:
Jules Vasquez
"Her circle of intimates or close personal friends could not have been so large, thus limiting the pool of suspects. Why have you all been unable to make an arrest?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"It is extremely difficult. There are certain things that we need to ascertain and we believe that the family do have answers or more answers to the questions that we are hoping to be answered. And so far I can say that the family is not as forthcoming as we want them to be. And, we believe that they're withholding information that could assist the police in this matter. One, I can't understand how - the way how their home is situated, I don't understand how she would've left home and they don't know. I don't want to indict the family or to say anything that is going to cause more grief to them, but certainly we believe that they are holding back information that could assist the police in that matter."
Police say they have a single suspect they are focussing on:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We have narrowed down to one particular suspect. I'm not gonna say who that person is at this time. But there's a person of great interest that we're focusing on, and we are almost sure that he is the person responsible for her death, but there are still certain things that we need to confirm and we're hoping that we will be able to confirm those very shortly and see how we progress in that investigation."
And that suspect's vehicle was impounded based on surveillance video:
Jules Vasquez
"Has there been anything, any type of vehicle on surveillance video moving in that area at that time?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Yes, and that's why we have narrowed down to one particular person."
Jules Vasquez
"Have you all impounded a vehicle?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We had done so. I'm not sure if it's still in our custody, but we had done so."
And police believe that's suspect is the person who strangled her to death:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Anybody could strangle anybody, once you are placed in the position and have the upper hand, but there is a particular reason why I've said that we have now narrowed down to a particular suspect, we are focusing on."
Police have also gotten a break in the case by recovering Imari's phone:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We have located the phone belonging to the deceased as well."
Jules Vasquez
"You have located it. Is there any information in there..."
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I'm not going to go into that at this time."
At least two men were detained for questioning in Imari's murder both of them have since been released.
