Yesterday evening at 5:00, a police search at the Burrell Boom junction turned up a significant drug stash. In what is described as a bushy area, the cops found 156 pounds of marijuana, as well as 42 grams of cocaine, 124 grams of crack cocaine, and 52 grams of suspected heroin.
Police have not said what intelligence led them to this area to find such an abundant stash - but from our experience we know that oftentimes - these drugs are offered up and planted by suspects seeking to get free of another crime.
We can't say that happened in this case, but there were a total of 66 parcels of cannabis, 12 plastic bags with crack cocaine, 1plastic bag with cocaine, and 3 plastic bags containing suspected heroin.
