And turning back to crime now, a female military officer from Mahogany Heights took to social media over the weekend to claim that she'd become the victim of arson, after two men who, quote: " had an altercation with her little brother", had burned her house down.
She went on to claim that due to the fire, she and her children had lost everything, and she asked for public support in trying to rebuild their lives.
It's a story the press heard this afternoon from ACP Romero who says that he and his colleagues are looking for more surveillance tapes in the hope of confirming arson.
Here's more:
ACP Hilberto Romero, OC, Eastern Division

"On Saturday the 24th day of June 2023 around 1:50AM, police responded to a fire at Mahogany heights, upon the arrival they saw a building 20x20 engulfed in flames investigation is that the occupants of the house were not at home at the time and neighbors alerted them that they saw fire and smoke coming from the house, thereafter Brian Henry a BDF solider reported that he left his house and went to work along with his wife and thereafter he received reports that his house was engulfed in flames. Cherisse Halsall:
"Sir, have the police managed to get thier hands on the surveillance video?"
ACP Hilberto Romero, OC, Eastern Division
"No, investigators are working checking the areas to see if there is any footage available."
Cherisse Halsall:
"There is some footage on social media, though Sir, have you been able to see that?"
