Tonight, all eleven persons from Caribbean Brewery have been freed of their immigration charges in Orange Walk's Magistrate court.
It all started on October 6th of 2022 when 9 persons, mostly Chinese nationals were charged for working without a work permit.
Two were charged for employing those nine people knowing they were not legally allowed to work.
And after a trial that lasted several days final submissions for the case were made last week.
This afternoon magistrate Deborah Rogers ruled in favour of the defence led by Dickie Bradley saying that the evidence provided could not lead to a conviction.
It's a case that has fallen flat on its face for police and immigration - since they had initially alleged that human trafficking was afoot.
