And leader of the opposition Shyne Barrow couldn't even past muster with Madam Speaker when he tried to present his review of the proposals form he revision task force. That's because she said the matter was still before the courts - and he could not speak on in on the adjournment.
That's when the Opposition Leader left the meeting saying he was blocked from talking in the house - so he had to take it to the press:
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"The attempts by the speaker and the government to supress the voice of the opposition. As you can see the member from Albert is trying to make a point. They told her that she can't talk about that matter, because it was discussed extensively. We talk about the same things over and over; the economy, healthcare - all of these issues recycled. So, again, there is an attempt to suppress the voice of the opposition when I rose to talk about re-districting which is a very serious matter."
"The decision in the court was made, the court made a decision. The parties agreed. That is a settlement. That means that matter is settled. There is no purpose in me being in there when my voice is being stifled. My colleague tried to speak and she is being stifled. So I prefer to speak to the 4th estate."

"It is important that the public knows what is going on. They know the type of gerrymandering. We have on this task force a misplaced, inappropriate member in one, Mr. Collet Montejo, who is the deputy secretary general of the People's United Party."
Jules Vasquez
"But I didn't see his name on the front of the report. It's a 5-member report, a 5-member report."
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"This is what I am saying, so wasn't he announced as part of the task force? so why did they omit his name. He has been a member of that task force."
