Tonight a Family in the Corozal District is grieving the loss of their 7 year old relative. Yesterday, Nazarene Primary School student, Juan Osorio was fatally struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle across an intersection. Our team went North today to find out more, and Jomarie Lanza reports from her hometown:
At this very intersection 7 year old Juan Osorio spent his last moments bleeding out onto the pavement, after he was struck by oncoming traffic and flung from his bicycle on Sunday morning after leaving a church service with his family. His mother claims he was an avid rider who knew when to stop and how to cross.

His mother Asuceli Osorio recounted for us how she watched her youngest child slip away:

"We were coming out from church when the accident happened, when all the traffic I see them cross right there in front of me, I see him die. I called police many times and they never reached. Lots of people were talking to the police and they never reached and they never answered. They reached half an hour later when my son was already dying."
"We were going home then I told him to turn back because we were going to see the Chiney to go buy something and I never conscious that he was not at the back of me when the accident happened. And the man not even stop there and stop here. How you think he don't have the fault? Tell me that. I'm a mother, I'm feeling this pain on me, I'm feeling like I don't want to live. He just turn 7 years old."
Juan's father, Diego spoke briefly about the events that unfolded Sunday morning. He claims that no ambulance was available in town at the time of the accident.
