We also asked the COMPOL whether these S.O.E's are just a militarized form of profiling against young black men from certain neighborhoods. Here's his blunt response:

Cherisse Halsall:
"Last night in our interview with Richard Dickie Bradley, he said that the S.O.E's have a policy problem because they target the young, the target black people in particular and in that he said that his client, Alex Underwood already had a charged sheet made up for him when he got the the police station, what would be your response to those comments?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Cherisse you report on the news everyday, who are the persons killing each other? Is it spanish man, chiney man, black man, hindu man, who?"

Reporter:
"What kind of evidence definitive evidence do yo have that these are gang members other than the location that they live, and the color of their skin?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We don't go by targeting people Mr. Hippolito, by the color of their skin or the area where they live."

Reporter:
"But what you just told Cherisse."

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"You don't listen, you don't listen, take. What I said in it's entirety, don't nitpick what you want to try and make it look like the police are profiling people, that is not what we are doing, no."
