Today a Land Surveyor was in court today after being slapped with 15 counts of obtaining property by deception. The allegations against Junior Dorrington Williams is that between February to August 2023, he swindled $30,415 dollars from three Belizeans.
First, he embezzled $29,100 from a man in Maskall Village, before moving on to another man in Sandhill, where he embezzled $165. Finally, he embezzled $1,150 from a third man again in Maskall.
Williams was unrepresented in court and there was no objection to bail, which was granted in the sum of $4,000 plus two sureties of $2,000. His next court date is set for October 4th. He was unable to meet bail and was remanded.
