And while that was the violence on Sunday night - there was a sense of foreboding from early in the day when a 12 year old boy was caught with a loaded 9mm pistol.
Sharp police officers on Freedom Street in the Port tLoyola area saw the shirtless youth acting suspiciously and when they tried to search him, he raced off on his bike.
The minor was apprehended, and the gun - which was cocked for action - was confiscated. But how could this boy have gotten a hold of such a weapon, and where was he taking it? The Officer commanding Eastern Divisions answered those questions today.
ACP Hilberto Romero, OC ED

"On Sunday police personnel were patrolling on Malcolm street when their attention was drawn to a male person with a knapsack who was riding a bicycle. He was pursued and the police apprehended him and brought him back to where the Knapsack was thrown upon inspection of the Knapsack police found a 9mm pistol along with 6 live rounds.
