A wash-man is serving the first night of an 18 month sentence tonight after he stole his boss - attorney Ronnell Gonzalez's vehicle and crashed it.
41 year old Sheldon Dennis Lewis appeared in court today charged for damage to property and taking a vehicle without authority.
Gonzalez told police that on Saturday his Nissan Rogue was taken from his house without his authority. He told police that he left Lewis, whom he has known for 14 years, washing his vehicle with the keys inside.
He went out and when he came back, it seems the washman had gone rogue with the Rogue!
In court today, Lewis pleaded guilty to both charges and asked the court for a fine and time to pay. But, no fine could be imposed because Lewis has 3 previous convictions - so he was sentenced to one year for taking vehicle without authority and 6 months for damage to property.
The sentences are to run concurrently, so Lewis will only serve 1 year.
