A Corozal Town store owner was reportedly shot at while fleeing his storefront on 4th Avenue in the midst of a robbery just before midday on Sunday. He reported to police that a masked individual had walked into his business and began behaving suspiciously, and that's when he dashed off, but heard a single shot being fired at him as he ran. ACP Hilberto Romero told us more today.

"On Sunday the 15th day of October Kumar Vian reported that he was at his store, Reyes store in Corozal when he saw a suspicious male person approached him he got frightened and he ran off after which he heard a single bang which sounded like a gunshot and he ran towards the police station where he made a report. Police responded and one expended shell was found in the area. He wasn't injured we do not have any suspects at this time."
No items were unaccounted for within the store. Police have not yet detained any suspects.
