Tonight, there have still been no arrests for the San Pedro triple murder of 25 year old Delmar Rodriguez, his 3 year old daughter Amarie, and his 24 year old friend Carlos Chi.
Post mortem examinations were conducted this morning and they confirmed that the father died of a shot to the head, while his infant daughter was shot to her midsection while Carlos Chi was fatally shot to the chest.
Tonight you'll hear the sounds of the spray of gunshots that killed them as captured on the surveillance camera from a marina about a quarter mile away. Jules Vasquez reports:
This security camera picked up the sound from the frightening barrage of gunfire on San Pedro on Sunday night.
It sounds like a high powered automatic rifle - and one of the bullets travelled a quarter mile where it hit a parked plane at the local airstrip. But police say it was a 9mm:

"I am not sure in terms of the quantity of rounds fired, but obviously a number of rounds were fired."

"We cannot say if its automatic or semi-automatic."

"Expended shells, 5.5 6or 9mm."

The family of the deceased has also shared these screenshots which they say show suspects inquiring with police officers about whether surveillance cameras in the area of the shooting were working.
Screenshots also show that some information alleging police compromise was shared via Facebook with the commissioner - but he denies it:

"I have not heard any such allegations, ahm to be honest, ahm."

"Is the issue of compromised police officers, something that the department is concerned about?"

"It is always an issue for us. we have had a number of allegations where police officers are compromised and once the information comes to us and those person with the information wants to follow up, then we go after them and we have dismissed a number of officers for being compromised."
