On Friday we told you about the dilemma facing Jasmine Hartin. In May, as part of her manslaughter sentence, she was ordered to do 300 hours community service at the YMCA. But, it seems nobody told that to the Y's management - in fact, the Y was not even consulted, according to our reports.

So, Hartin has not served her community service hours there - and it does not seem likely to happen anytime soon.

So, what's she going to do? Well, Hartin, who has been forced to change attorneys yet again, told us she will ask her attorney to apply to the court for a variance of her court ordered community service. She hopes to do the 300 hours at some other community based organization. Until then, Hartin still has pending court matters on other minor offences in Belize.

And one more note on this story: on Friday we reported that the Y's executive Director Clara Cuellar had quit her post. That was an error; she remains in that post - and we apologize for the mix up.
