But though there is no need to be alarmed just yet about this most recent system, Gordon says you should be preparing for a cold and rainy week.
We've gone from record breaking warm weather to relatively cooler temperatures.
Gordon told us you can expect a cold front coming mid week:...
Ronald Gordon, Chief Meteorologist
"It's just a coincidence that we had the eclipse and then right after that we had a cold front that came through and since that cold front came through we have been having a more cooler north-easterly flow."
"So it's not related to the eclipse at all. And as you mentioned temperatures perhaps it to be a matter of interest to the Belizean public that we are going to be seeing another cold front coming down around Wednesday of this week, which should further cool things down for us."
"But this one is going to be one that brings some rain, so it will be cooler but also be wetter. So we are looking at a bit of moist conditions persisting through around midweek until the end of the week."
"And then coupled with that we have approaching tropical system from the east, which will maintain moist conditions. So it is looking like a rather wet midweek to end of week scenario at the moment."
