Last night we told you about the dangerous, prohibited pistol that a teenage girl was found with on Halloween night - in the midst of the trick or treaters.
Today, she went to court and tonight she is in jail. She is 18 year old Jadaey Williams from Freedom Street. She pleaded not guilty to firearm and ammunition offenses and was remanded to prison until December 29, 2023.
On Halloween night with a.45 pistol loaded with 3 rounds, one of them was already in the chamber. She and three other teenagers -two of them males - were detained near to Kelly Street - which is known gang turf.
Williams was initially detained along with another adult, aged 19 and two minors ages 16 and 17 but because the pistol was found in her knapsack the other 3 persons were released and only Williams was charged.
