Commissioner Williams also spoke about yesterday morning's murder of Albert Valentine in the City.
Two men rode up to him at the corner of Iguana and Elston Kerr Streets. Police have two known suspects they are seeking:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"At this time, police information is revealing that two male persons on bicycle approached the deceased and fired shots at him causing his fatal injury. We are looking at two suspects at this time. We're hoping that he'll be able to locate those persons and bring some closure to this matter."
Jules Vasquez
"Is this related to the shooting he survived in Punta Gorda some years ago?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Well, you know Albert Valentine has been somewhat of a freelance in the gang world. He was originally an affiliate of Rocky Road and then he went to SSG, then he went to Boneyard, then he went to this one and that one."
"And so he has been more of a freelance and when you have a person who is a freelance in the gang world that certainly is a recipe for disaster. So we believe that that is what led to his murder."
