And yesterday, another complaint was brought to the ComPol, but he was dismissive of it, especially since it occurred on the day of the SOE. Though there was an allegation of excessive force, the Commissioner did not take it seriously and said - incredibly - that rampant criminal activity is the media's fault. Here's how he put it.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"Some people, no matter what happens, they're going to have a negative aversion and say things about the police that is not so but even if you look at social media, everything that happens out there is always on social media. Do you see anything on social media to the effect that police is abusing their powers? do you?"

Reporter:
"We posted one story of one complaint of a police officer who pointed a gun at an individual that was in a bathroom."

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Was that the day the police were executing the SOE?"

Reporter:
"Yes."

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Then come on, Mr Lopez. You have to start to learn to stop giving airtime to stupidity. This is the reason why criminals behave the way they are, because you give them airtime. I won't answer that, that speaks for itself."
