Despite Security, Brodies Burglars Got Away With $10,500

It went unreported and police have refused to comment on it - but there was a pretty sizable burglary at Belize City's biggest supermarket.

Last week Tuesday police received information of a burglary at Brodies on the George Price Highway.

It's a secured compound, but Sometime between 1:00 and 4:00 am, someone got into the building and stole up to $8,500 in cash along with several vouchers and cheques, all to a total of $10,500 dollars. Fingerprints were collected and a crowbar was retrieved at the scene, and police are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the area.
