A man was stabbed in downtown Belize City yesterday. It happened near Heritage Bank on Albert Street.

At3:50 pm, 34 year old Jermaine Buckley was sitting down on a foldable plastic chair in front of Heritage Bank, when a man who is also known to hang out in the area arrived to pick up his bicycle that he had left beside the building. They got into an argument where Buckley was stabbed. His assailant then rode off down Albert Street. A passing police vehicle rushed him to KHMH for medical assistance.

Police say the assailant is wanted but we are told he was in the area again today hanging out without police detention..
