He was facing a sentence of as much as 7 years in jail but because he is a first time offender along with his early guilty plea, the Chief Magistrate used her discretion and imposed a non-custodial sentence of a thousand dollar fine.
On Thursday, April 25, 2024, he attempted to sexually assault the minor by rubbing her face and trying to kiss her. The video that captured his sexual act went viral leading the Compol to view the footage and charge was later prepared against Brackett.
