Man Pleads Guilty To 2022 Murder

And another man was in court today for a murder charge but this one pleaded guilty. In April 2022, Mark Lord Jr was walking on Jones Avenue when he was approached by Darwin Romero and another man. Lord and Romero had reportedly had an argument the day before. Romero pulled out a firearm and shot Lord, killing him. He tried to discard the gun, but police found it and ultimately apprehended him.

Romero, who was represented by Peta Gay Bradley, took the unusual step of pleading guilty and will be sentenced on February 11th 2025.
