Turning now to crime news, a 29 year old laborer was gunned down in Punta Gorda last week Friday. Police found several expended shells in the area where it happened, but have not managed to pinpoint any suspects as yet. Today, ACP Hilberto Romero told us what he knew about this most recent murder in the south.

"On Friday the 12th day of September 2025 police responded to the discovery of a body on the VOA road in Punta Gorda. upon the arrival they saw the lifeless body of a male person identified as Anmon Flores he had gunshot injuries. Information is that Flores was seen in the town earlier that night and there after his body was discovered in the road an investigation is being carried out and we have no suspects at this time."
Reports say Flores may have been involved in an altercation some weeks before his murder.
