On Friday when I caught up with Minister of home Affairs Kareem Musa at the airport, I asked him about the state of police booths all across the country. He's just finished a nationwide tour of police stations - but officers on the ground tell us that the police booths are in a terrible state and when it rains, or when mosquitoes are about - they're horrible. Here's what he said:

Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs

"Absolutely not Jomarie I actually just recently concluded a nationwide tour. There are recommendations for the rehabilitation of several, police stations across the country. And new police stations. That we will be breaking ground on September 19th in Bella Vista for the new police station. Again, these are things that take time. Last year, we were able to, do remedial work to over 13, police stations across the country. So every year it's something that we work on, obviously from a nationwide tour, you will see a lot more of the defects across the, various municipalities and buildings. And so we actually are finalizing that report and taking it to cabinet for a comprehensive approval of all these repairs."
