It was a Friday night football match at Marion Jones Stadium, in January of this year, that ended in the shooting death of Gang Leader Brandon Baptist, and injured 3 others in the process. Baptist had gotten into an altercation at the game, and was fatally shot in the process and then thrown down the bleachers.
Shevaughn Gotoy was later arraigned for the attempted murder of the 3 surviving victims, but not for the Baptist murder. Police say that was not a murder but an act of self defence.
And now, Baptist's mother says he has been charged for previous harm - which is deeply dissatisfied with. She told us more:

"I don't like the outcome of the investigation, the outcome of the case because I don't feel like that should have happened because to me that is murder and you know what really hurts me as Brandon's mom, that in this world you don't do things to people because you know what will happen? This world is a cycle and we are not looking for any revenge we are not looking for anything but you see there is a god and god isn't sleeping, what goes around comes around okay, I might be grieving and that really hurts me, it hurts me as Brandon's mother the way how they killed my child, the way they killed him and threw him from the top like come on man come on, I don't see how in the world nothing came out of that because they say there is a video that goes with it, so me as the mother I should see the video so I can get some ease, because people don't know how I feel as a mother so people don't know how it feels but I know how it feels that is not a pretty feeling when they take someone's life you understand? It hurts me and this is the second child I have lost, my second child and they chanced my son but I am not looking for a war I am not looking for that."
"They charge the boy who shot him with grievous harm. How can that be and you shot someone in his chest, how can that be grievous harm? That is not grievous harm that, that is attempted murder so we don't know what is happening but to me its like something is happening, because every time these guys do something, they free up and they get lucky so I don't know, god will know though, god will know."
