A Belize City construction worker was charged with 2 counts of theft for stealing his ex girlfriend's underwear, He is 32 year old Michael Martinez. According to reports Martinez stole his ex's underwear with the intent to perform witchcraft on her.
The incident occurred on Thursday October 30th just after 5:00pm. His ex, Keisha Petillo told police that she had left her home with clothes on the clothes line and when she returned she caught Martinez removing her clothes and he dashed off on a bicycle. Upon making checks Petillo says she realized 2 pieces of her underwear were missing. Petillo claims that Martinez then proceeded to call her and tell her that yes he stole her underwear and would use it to perform obeah on her. Martinez appeared in court today unrepresented and pleaded guilty to panty - theft. He was fined $505 and as allowed to leave court after he paid $200 forthwith. This is Martinez's 15th criminal conviction.
